Stablecoin issuer Circle has entered a partnership with Tereina to bring its USDC and EURC stablecoins into corporate payment workflows, according to Cointelegraph Main and Cointelegraph Stablecoins. Tereina is a financial services company backed by German enterprise software producer SAP. The integration allows businesses using SAP software to send and receive stablecoins within their existing payment applications. Cointelegraph Main reported that USDC will be the preferred stablecoin for dollar-denominated payments. [1][2]
The integration aims to expand Circle's reach across corporate software systems. Reports from FinanceX Magazine and Bloomingbit stated that Circle intends to embed its stablecoins into cloud enterprise resource planning tools. Marketscreener.com reported that the rollout focuses on the SAP ecosystem, which powers transactions across a major share of global commerce. [9][10][11]
Circle Internet Group is a payments technology firm founded in 2013 by Jeremy Allaire and Sean Neville. The company issues the U.S. dollar-pegged USDC and euro-denominated EURC, alongside a tokenized money market fund called USYC. Following the enterprise payment integration announcement, CryptoRank reported that Circle stock fell by 5 percent. [7][14]
The enterprise push comes alongside other recent developments for the stablecoin issuer. Decrypt and CryptoBriefing reported that Circle faced backlash on social media platform X after welcoming artist DJ Khaled to Team USDC. Critics pointed to his 2018 settlement with the Securities and Exchange Commission regarding crypto promotion. Separately, TronWeekly reported that a recent $1 billion USDC minting on the Solana blockchain contributed to a $3.25 billion total supply increase. [3][5][6]
