Bitcoin traded near 86,000 dollars on Tuesday as sell orders placed around 87,000 dollars restricted further upward price movement, according to Cointelegraph Bitcoin. At the same time, major United States stock indexes reached new record highs following the opening of Wall Street trading. [1]

Cointelegraph Bitcoin reported that TradingView data showed the pair attempting to return toward 87,000 dollars following an unsuccessful attempt to break higher on Monday. Meanwhile, United States equities advanced, with the S&P 500, Nasdaq 100, and Nasdaq Composite Index setting record levels. [1]

The S&P 500 reached a record high of 7,835 points, while the Nasdaq 100 hit 31,312 points and the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite Index reached 27,683 points, Cointelegraph Bitcoin reported. [1]

Trading resource The Kobeissi Letter noted that the S&P 500 had increased in value by 24 percent, or 71.3 trillion dollars, since March 30, according to Cointelegraph Bitcoin. [1]
