Cryptocurrency hardware wallet manufacturer Ledger stated on October 11 that all confirmed cases in an October 9 theft investigation involve devices purchased from CryptoBilis. UToday Crypto News and The Defiant both reported that CryptoBilis is an authorized reseller for Ledger in Southeast Asia. Ledger stated that the total number of impacted devices remains limited, though the firm did not reveal the exact number of compromised wallets. [1][2][3]

Ledger emphasized that the incident did not affect its internal systems or its direct sales channels, according to UToday Crypto News and The Defiant. Following the thefts, CryptoBilis halted its hardware wallet sales. Ledger reminded all of its resellers that they must never restock returned products. [1][2][3]

UToday Crypto News reported that French firm Ledger is collaborating with relevant authorities to determine how the thefts occurred. The company is also reaching out directly to contact affected customers. [1]
