Polygon Labs has extended its Open Money Stack payment framework to support the TRON network, CoinDesk reported on 7 October 2026. CoinDesk and NewsCord both reported that the integration allows businesses to perform cross-border transfers and stablecoin payments using TRON. The system enables companies to transfer Tether USDT between TRON and Ethereum Virtual Machine networks without needing to connect through a bridge, wallet provider, or fiat-ramp operator. [1][2][4][6]
The integration connects to TRON's 94 billion dollar stablecoin supply, according to BigGo Finance, KuCoin, and CoinDesk. Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwal told CoinDesk that Open Money Stack targets enterprises seeking digital-dollar capabilities without having to coordinate banking access and wallet infrastructure beforehand. Nailwal said the single integration provides businesses with a unified method to offer these payment services. [1][3][5]
Cryptocurrency operates as a digital asset that uses distributed ledger or blockchain technology to execute secure transactions. Open Money Stack serves as an payment infrastructure designed for remittance providers and institutional cross-border settlement. As FTMQ Crypto reported earlier, other cross-border settlement platforms using Tether USDT have faced operational challenges, including recent federal court filings in New York concerning account freezes.
