US asset manager VanEck launched an actively managed exchange-traded fund on Tuesday that offers exposure to stocks, bonds, real assets, and Bitcoin. Cointelegraph Main and Bitcoin Magazine both reported that the VanEck Wealth Builder ETF trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker WBMO. [1][2]
Cointelegraph Main and Bitcoin Magazine both reported that the fund provides indirect Bitcoin exposure through a spot Bitcoin exchange-traded product rather than direct holdings. According to Cointelegraph Main, the fund sets a target Bitcoin allocation of 2 percent, with a permitted investment range between 1 percent and 5 percent. [1][2]
Bitcoin Magazine reported that the fund carries an annual management fee of 0.26 percent. The vehicle packages VanEck's Wealth Builder model portfolios into a single product available to brokerage account holders, while VanEck selects the underlying holdings, determines allocation weights, and manages portfolio rebalancing. Bitcoin Magazine also reported that VanEck oversees approximately 244 billion dollars in assets. [2]
The Bitcoin network relies on a proof-of-work consensus mechanism to secure transactions and maintain a hard supply cap of 21 million bitcoins. The capped issuance model has positioned the digital asset as a potential store of value among institutional market participants. [11]
