Alex Thorn, the head of research at Galaxy Digital, has stated that a fall below 76,000 dollars would end his bullish case for Bitcoin. 24/7 Wall St. reported on November 2, 2026, that Thorn identified this price level as a critical threshold. The 76,000 dollar level aligns closely with Bitcoin's 50-week moving average. [1]

Artificial intelligence model Claude AI estimates a 55 percent probability that Bitcoin will log a weekly close at that level, according to 24/7 Wall St. Separate market reports from Bitcoin News indicate that the price of Bitcoin has remained under pressure below 77,000 dollars following the fallout from a Binance security breach. [1][2]

BeInCrypto reported that Bitcoin has fallen 39 percent below its historical peak price. In contrast to the drawdown in digital assets, traditional equity markets have maintained strength, with the S&P 500 index trading near record high levels. [3]

Bitcoin was originally designed by its pseudonymous creator, Satoshi Nakamoto, to function as a currency. However, economists note that it does not currently satisfy all standard criteria for money, which require functioning as a store of value, a medium of exchange, and a unit of account. [4]
