Solana developers are considering a comprehensive overhaul of the network development process to resolve fragmented protocol documentation. CryptoSlate reported that Brennan Watt, the chief executive officer of blockchain engineering company Anza, published a proposal on October 30 to establish a unified rulebook for the network. [1]

The proposed protocol specification aims to make independently developed validator software more reliable and easier to maintain. According to CryptoSlate, the proposal covers how the Solana blockchain processes transactions, validates blocks, and reaches consensus. [1]

Anza is the engineering firm behind Agave, which serves as one of the primary software programs operating the Solana network. CryptoSlate reported that the draft proposal establishes a common target for developers while leaving implementation testing, upgrade reviews, and starting-state trust to be addressed. [1]
