American Bitcoin posted a third-quarter net income of 126 million dollars, according to Cointelegraph, CoinDesk, Decrypt, and Bitcoin Magazine. The Block, Bitcoin Magazine, and Decrypt reported that the result marks a recovery from a 57.2 million dollar net loss recorded in the second quarter. The Eric Trump-backed mining company benefited from a 197.3 million dollar noncash valuation gain on its Bitcoin holdings, according to Cointelegraph, Decrypt, and Bitcoin Magazine. Cointelegraph and CoinDesk reported that third-quarter mining revenue declined to 63.4 million dollars, missing analysts' forecasts. Cointelegraph noted that revenue dropped 5.5 percent from the second quarter, while the direct cost to mine a single Bitcoin climbed about 15 percent to 42,100 dollars. CoinDesk attributed the higher production costs to reduced Bitcoin output and increased summer electricity rates. Cointelegraph stated that the company would have suffered an operating loss without the gain on its digital asset reserve. [1][2][3][4]

American Bitcoin operates as a Delaware corporation headquartered in Miami, Florida, and functions as a majority-owned subsidiary of digital infrastructure provider Hut 8. Its primary data center in Texas hosts approximately 35,000 ASIC units, which generate nearly 2 percent of global daily Bitcoin production. The firm trades on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol ABTC. [12][13]

Cointelegraph reported that rising operational costs and reduced mining yields present strategic challenges for American Bitcoin as competing miners expand into artificial intelligence infrastructure. FTMQ Crypto reported earlier that network mining difficulty recently rose 6 percent while Bitcoin prices fell, increasing financial margin pressure on industry operators. [1][2][14]
