Bitcoin realized volatility has fallen within the distribution of S and P 500 constituents, Bitcoin Magazine Markets reported, citing research from asset manager Grayscale. A meaningful number of large-cap equities now exhibit higher price swings than the digital asset. Coinfomania reported that bitcoin volatility dropped to 43 percent. [1][2][4][5][6]
The decline in price swings comes after a strong market performance in recent months. Bitcoin Magazine Markets reported that bitcoin recorded its best quarter in years following a price surge in August and September. Analysts attribute the reduced volatility to deeper market liquidity, broader institutional participation, and more regulated access venues. [1]
As FTMQ Crypto reported earlier, overall bitcoin volatility had previously fallen to 46 percent, according to Binance figures, even as the asset recorded ten extreme price movements in 2026. [10]
Separately, UToday Crypto News reported that Strategy executive chairman Michael Saylor reaffirmed his support for the asset following a study on artificial intelligence monetary preferences. The research project added 13 AI models in its third-quarter update, leading Saylor to state that smart money saves in bitcoin. [3]
